The bathroom is a place in the house that is often underrated. However, if you really think about it, you will realize that the bathroom is actually an integral part of your life. You might spend the whole day in your living room, and not once visit your bedroom, except at night. But the bathroom? No way! Clearly, every day starts and ends in the bathroom. This is the place which rejuvenates you and prepares you for the day ahead. This is the place that relaxes you at the end of the day, and prepares you for a good night’s sleep. So, why not spend some time and creativity in redecorating the place that has so much to offer in return?

When redecorating a space, the first and foremost thing to do would be to color it in a most refreshing and relaxing hue. Let’s take a look at the most popular colors that people use for the bathroom.

White
perhaps the most popular – and also the safest – color for your bathroom would be to paint it white. Simply choose pure white tiles and color the walls and the ceiling white. White is known to give a soothing feel, and goes with any design scheme. Choosing white also saves you from investing time in selecting other items for the bathroom such as bath vanities, shower curtains etc. Just stick to the “white” theme, and you're done!
Neutral tones
Neutral colors such as beige, cream, etc. are the other colors that go well with almost any design. Also, the light texture of these colors helps radiate light better, and gives a bright feel to the bathroom.

Bright pastel colors

Bolder colors such as lavender, orange, turquoise and peach add a dash of fun to your bathroom. These colors make the bathroom a cheerful, pleasant place, and this positivity can definitely seep into your life every time you visit your bathroom. Instead of painting the whole bathroom with these bright colors, you could choose to paint only a featured wall in one of those bright colors, and leave the rest of the walls and the ceiling in lighter colors.

An important thing to keep in mind: Apart from feeling great entering your bathroom, you would also want to look great in the mirror. For this you need a color that also blends well with your skin. After all, the color of the wall will have an effect on your face’s shadow on the mirror. For example, a green bathroom with a cool tone tends to make you look older. Yellow is another such color that creates an unflattering image, and distorts your skin tone. Since most skin tones are pink, warm tones such as peach can create warm shadows, and enhance your skin texture, to give you that extra confidence.
